  • My experience at Virginia Center for Spine & Sports Therapy was overwhelmingly positive. I was in treatment for three months for unexplained chronic back pain, and not once did I ever feel condescended, dismissed, or rushed through the process. Instead, I gained a greater understanding of the underlying causes of my symptoms, as well as a series of tools to help me tackle the problem both inside and outside of physical therapy.

The staff at this facility are also incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome from the very start. On top of progressing through PT I also genuinely enjoyed getting to know everyone over the weeks. The physical therapists here are knowledgeable and take their time with each patient, and really seemed to make the effort to ensure that I got the most out of each session. I truly cannot recommend this location enough and am extremely thankful for my experience here!

  • Both I and my oldest son have been patients here, and I am more than happy with the treatment provided. The staff is friendly and professional, and I always feel welcome and confident in the treatment plan.

  • I’ve had such a great experience at VCSST! The staff is so very knowledgeable and helpful. The environment is friendly, caring and fun. I love going to PT every week! I spent a few weeks in therapy back in May before my surgery and didn’t return until July. When I walked in after months, Brandy, who works at the front immediately recognized me and welcomed me by my first name. It made me feel so great, I’ve never had that happen at any doctors office before. Dr. Andrew is such a positive and happy person and truly has empathy for what his patients are going through. You can tell all the therapists get along and have a lot of fun working together. The view is amazing as well. Highly recommend!!!!

The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere they have created makes you feel welcome and valued every time you are here. And to top it all off, the view of the lake and trees outside the window is wonderful!

  • I am a current Doctor of Physical Therapy intern and I was given the opportunity to have a clinical rotation at Virginia Center for Spine and Sports Therapy. All I can say is that my experience at VCSST surpassed any and all expectations I may have had before I started my rotation. To be honest, the PT Outpatient rotation was the one I’ve been dreading the most due to my experience with other physical therapy clinics. Originally, I had planned to just get through it and move on and not look back. However, to my uttermost surprise, I enjoyed my experience as an intern at VCSST; I feel like what I’ve learned at VCSST I would not have been able to at other clinics. Everyone here, from the Techs to the Exercise physiologist to the Physical Therapists, are all so very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do, and that reflects upon the care they give to everyone who enters their front door. I’ve been to other PT clinics (both as an observer and a student) and there is certainly a level of patient care and attention that the Physical Therapists at VCSST give to their patients/clients that is definitely incomparable. The therapists are also all involved in continuing education courses (both as teachers and students) and are always trying to increase their knowledge of current evidence-based practice! All in all, as my time as a DPT intern at VCSST comes to a close I can confidently say that I would 100% recommend VCSST for anyone needing physical therapy and also for any student looking for an unparalleled learning experience. It’s a wonderful environment and not once during my 12-week rotation did I have any trepidation about going in.

  • I shadowed the physical therapists at VCSST for the summer and learned so much! The people and the environment are so welcoming and I enjoyed every minute of it. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for an amazing PT or for a shadowing opportunity.

  • Great place! The have helped me so much on my road to recovery and I really recommend Andrew. He’s been awesome for me and everyone from the front office people to the people who have physically worked with me has really been great for me as I have been on my road to recovery. They all are great at their job and they all are great people.

  • VCSST has far exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend them to anyone in need of physical therapy. The facility is impressive, spacious, and comfortable while the staff is top-notch. You will be welcomed with the smiling, friendly faces of the office staff who is always helpful and quick. Physical Therapists, support techs, and Exercise Physiologist are all highly knowledgeable, compassionate, warm, and welcoming. The practice offers a number of specialty services like functional manual therapy and dry needling, which really provides comprehensive treatment. Take time to appreciate the sign in the lobby that will have a new handwritten positive quote every time you visit. It always brightens my day. And be sure to follow them on social media because they share great articles and short videos that can be helpful too. Rehab and pain management isn’t my idea of fun, but VCSST makes sure your experience is pleasurable.

  • I had a great experience at The Virginia Center for Spine & Sports Therapy. The staff is very welcoming and inviting. I highly recommend VCSST for all your physical therapy needs.

    -
  • Over the past year I had a fracture in my back from gymnastics, and I was out for three months, and not allowed to do much of anything. The staff really helped and went above and beyond for my needs and kept a close check on how I felt on each exercise. With my time there I had three main staff who worked with me and they did a phenomenal job, as well as the others who I observed with other patients. They are personable and really care about you. I would highly recommend to anyone especially if they are recovering from a long term sports injury. Now I am back in the gym, good as new, and I am thankful that I had such a great PT experience.

    -
  • I was an intern at VCSST for 4 months. I have nothing but good things to say about these amazing people. As I observed, I noticed a level of care, patience, knowledge, and respect that I’ve never seen at any other physical therapy clinic. If you’re in need of physical therapy, you need to contact VCSST!

    -
  • Exceptionally friendly and professional. Focused on obtaining the best outcome for their patients.

    -
  • Everyone at Spine and Sports therapy was always friendly and nice from the ladies at the check in area to all of the therapists! Highly recommend them for all your therapy needs!

    -
  • If you are looking for the best place in Richmond to get PT, you’ve found it! The physical therapists are very knowledgeable and patient, and support staff members are helpful and friendly. I feel like I’m going to a resort when I walk in – the view of the lake is beautiful!

    -
  • I cannot say enough great things about this practice. My family has intermittently seen Dr. Dominguez for the last seven years for rehabilitation of different injuries. Every time our rehab has been successful and we were given advice on how to maintain the results of our rehab. I would give six stars if I could!

    -
  • The therapists and staff here are extremely helpful and understanding when it comes to getting the care you need. The clinicians are experts at figuring out what is wrong and they spend lots of time with you at each visit to make sure you have a personalized plan to recover from your injury. The front desk staff makes the insurance and scheduling side of therapy easy on you. Every single person I have worked with at this office has been pleasant and more than willing to meet my needs when it comes to my physical therapy.

    -
  • I’m not even sure where to begin, I truly cannot say enough great things about this place. I found VCSST via Google reviews, and I am happy to add another 5-star review to the list. I saw Dr. Andrew Rothschild, but honestly, all the therapists are fantastic- they were supportive, knowledgeable, and friendly. The support staff always made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in the door. In an area where PT facilities are all over, this place really is one of a kind. I learned so much during my time there. Even though my pain is gone and I’m stronger than before, I was a little sad when I finished! I sing their praises to everyone I talk to that needs PT!

  • When it comes to patient care, the professionals at VCSST are the best. The receptionists are always friendly and welcoming. Every therapist pays close attention to detail and focuses on ensuring each patient gets the best treatment they need. Being around other therapy clinics, it is no doubt this is the best place because of how each therapist interacts with their patient and gives them an understanding of how each treatment will get them back to 100%.

  • As a professional athlete seeking soft tissue work, full-body rehab, and assistance in recovery techniques during the offseason, I have had an outstanding experience with VA Center for Spine and Sport. Martin, Alex, and the whole staff have been extremely helpful in aiding my development and providing me with the most up-to-date and innovative styles of treatment, care, and recovery. The entire staff is friendly, willing to offer assistance, and advice at any time. The location can accommodate any person or athlete recovering from any type of injury or looking to improve and correct physical deficiencies. I would highly recommend this location to anyone in RVA and surrounding areas!

  • Virginia Center for Spine and sports does incredible work. We have used this practice for years during my children’s sports years with wonderful results. Then after having 2 surgeries in 2017, I ended up with severe back pain after abdominal surgeries. After suffering for a few months I went in to see Dr. Martin Dominguez. He assessed my situation and after massaging my scar tissue from surgery I was able to get amazing relief from that back pain. Most recently I have suffered from elbow issues and after 6 weeks of massage therapy and exercise that pain has been resolved. This practice has given me amazing results and I highly recommend using them. The front office staff is amazing as well!!

  • I recently saw Dr. Dominguez for tailbone pressure & pain that I have had for 10 years. My pain doc suggested I try PT. Since my husband & I have had PT here in the past with great results. I knew just where to go.
Dr. Dominguez & I discussed my concerns & goals & after an initial strength & reflex check, he checked my tailbone & found it had deviated to the left. In 20 seconds, Dr. Dominguez manually adjusted my tailbone & completely changed my life. I immediately felt the change. No more pain or pressure when sitting & sleeping & I have noticed a difference when standing & walking as well. Life-changing !! I am thankful & grateful for Dr. Dominguez ‘s great skill set!

  • Va Center For Spine and Sports Therapy is a very professional place that treats its patients well. The therapists are very helpful and get the job done, sometimes with a bit of verbal humor 😉

    -
  • I’m so glad I chose to do my PT at Virginia Center for Spine and Sports Therapy. They helped me identify the root of my pain and speed up my recovery. They’re super friendly and flexible too, they were a big help to me.

    -
  • The Virginia Center for Spine and Sports Therapy provides exemplary care. Everyone you encounter, from the office staff to the techs, assistants and physical therapists, is welcoming, attentive, caring and professional. Seven years ago, when I was recovering from a back injury, Martin asked what my goal was as a VCSST patient. I simply wanted my life back, and with treatment and hard work by everyone, I got it! I continue to be a patient as needed for other issues and have no hesitation recommending VCSST to friends and family. Simply the best!

  • I did 6 months of PT after a bad bicycle accident. Martin Domínguez and Alex Famodu literally took me from a wheelchair to being ready to train jiujitsu and work full time on my feet again. In the process, I gained a new perspective on my own body.

    -
  • I have been a student here for the past 12 weeks under Dr. Andrew Rothschild. For any PT student looking for a clinical affiliation, VCSST is an excellent experience. Due to the way I was educated and led, my level of knowledge and ability to help future patients has advanced tremendously. The staff provides the highest possible quality of care for every patient. There is a culture of growth here – everyone pushes each other to maximize their professional and personal potential, which cannot be said for many other places. I would highly recommend VCSST for those looking to fine-tune their bodies or get out of pain.

  • Approximately one month ago, I was in regular shoulder pain. I would lay down to help the pain and end up going to sleep early. Martin Dominguez, at VCSST, realized at my evaluation that my neck was the problem. He showed me exercises and stretches to do at home and at work. I noticed an improvement after about a week. Yesterday was my last visit, but I will continue to do the exercises that helped me. Everyone at the office was pleasant and it was a great experience!

    -
  • I had been experiencing fairly severe lower back pain for weeks, which was starting to radiate around into my hip and leg. I called and was easily able to get an appointment for the next day. Martin met with me and determined exercises and a plan for me to follow. He had sleeping position recommendations, driving/car seat positions, and stretches for me to use at home. I started coming to physical therapy there twice a week to strengthen my back muscles and Martin would use massage techniques to ease my pain. Within a very short time, I felt much better and was able to complete my normal daily activities again. My son has also had two very successful experiences with VCSST for a fractured growth plate (arm) and a back injury, both from baseball. They are wonderful with children, as well. I could not say enough wonderful things about this place. The front desk employees make you feel right at home. Cleanliness is very important and equipment is cleaned after each use. I would highly recommend VCCST to anyone.

  • I have received awesome care at VCSST. I should have written this some time ago. I was first seen for a Workmen’s Comp injury by two Pt Dr. Brandon Poen and Dr. Andrew Rothschild. I am currently seeing being seen for other things now. Dr. Andrew Rothschild is knowledgeable and caring. Andrew is not only extremely competent, versatile, experienced, proficient and extremely skilled. I have other medical issues we sometimes had to work around and Andrew always knew what to do!! With Andrew, if there’s a will, there’s a way. I also must mention his excellent professionalism and fabulous bedside manner. Thanks, Andrew for showing me about mindfulness and helping me through some crazy stuff.

    -
  • I was an intern here for about 3 months and I have got to say the community, environment, and knowledge here is far beyond what I have seen in other places. I shadowed all the physical therapists at VCSST but I mostly accompanied Dr. Rothschild. Not only did I notice his great set of knowledge in the field but he was also incredibly good with people. If you’re looking for a place to go for PT, look no further. Not only will they fix you here but they’ll leave you with a smile.

    -
  • Great interactions with there clients definitely know what there doing all around a great place.

    -
  • I had a bulging disc in my neck causing severe pain in my neck, shoulder and down my arm. Martin Dominguez did so much to reduce my recovery time. He carefully managed my care and guided my return to activities so that I could get back to playing tennis. Alex was also excellent and made certain that I was doing all the exercises in treatment and between treatments correctly. The staff made making appointments easy. Thank you VCSST.

    -
  • I have been so impressed with the office and specifically my therapist Andrew Mann. Everyone at VCSST is friendly, caring, and personable. I had Achilles Tendonitis in both tendons as well as ankle instability. I had been in pain for a year and a half and no longer able to run. Andrew worked with me on nerve, back, and ankle issues – a tough combination. His positive attitude, creative and thorough approach, reassurances, and great explanations to all of the many questions I had paid off. I am now back to running 30 minutes a day and could not be happier!!! Thank you.

  • I was dealing with some shoulder discomfort for the past few months. I was told to try 6 weeks of PT, if things didn’t go well I’d probably need surgery. When I first went in for the check-up, I knew from listening to Mr. Rothschilds speak, he was someone that was motivated to always learn more and already knew a lot. Which is securing to trust. I got the same vibe from the rest of the staff. Today I’m cleared and learned new ways to upkeep my body, glad I made the decision to choose them.

  • I cannot say enough good things about this practice! I have been coming off and on for many years now. I first went after I’d been experiencing severe back pain for a couple of years, having already been to two other PT practices. My ortho doctor recommended Martin Dominguez. Within a couple months I was off all medication and able to go hiking out in Colorado for a week with no issue at all. Before seeing Martin, I truly thought this pain was just going to be a part of my life. I have subsequently been to PT here for neck pain and most recently shoulder pain. This last experience, unfortunately, coincided with my father getting seriously ill and eventually passing. Throughout the whole 6 weeks of that experience, all of the staff were extremely caring, flexible with my constantly changing schedule, checking in with how I was doing emotionally and just truly making me feel like I was a part of their family, helping to ease the pain not only of my shoulder but also my grief. I will not go anywhere else. All of these PTs are not only extremely knowledgeable, but also real human beings who care, very rare in today’s healthcare world. Thank you!!

  • This clinic has a wonderful and welcoming environment. It starts with the front desk staff that is very helpful and always greet you with a warm smile. All of the therapists and techs are eager to help and get to know you on a personal level. They take the time to treat you on an individual basis and will accommodate any specific needs you may have. What a unique experience it is to be treated at this clinic.

    -
  • Warm, friendly, professional, very effective therapy.

    -
  • The environment at Virginia Center for Spine and Sports Therapy is out of this world! The treatment starts right when you walk in the door and are greeted by the front desk staff. The therapists offer fantastic treatment and the techs are eager to help you along the way. Not only does the patient-centered treatment help you but the friendly nature of the clinic makes for a better healing environment. I highly recommend attending VCSST for physical therapy needs.

  • Wonderful facility, all of the staff are so friendly, accomodating and helpful. With Andrew Mann’s expertise about the sport, I was able to confidently get back to running after an injury and a post-rehab routine to continue to run healthy!

    -
  • I was recommended to this office and Andrew Mann from a family member. From the moment I scheduled my appointment, the whole staff has been beyond caring and helpful. I left my first appointment crying happy tears- my team was so supportive of finding out the source of my pain and helping me reach my goals. Now I’m back to running pain-free and keeping up with a happy toddler. This office provides individualized care and innovative ideas to help their patients. 5 stars!

  • After the most horrific horseback riding accident I went to therapy at VCSST. After four months of treatment, I’m almost back to normal. Andrew Rothschild was an excellent therapist. His therapeutic approach and massage therapy was exactly what was needed to put me back together again. I liked how he showed me how to continue my therapy at the gym after I was discharged. The location is good but the building itself is a bit tricky to find on GPS. I would highly recommend.

    -
  • The front desk staff at the Virginia Center for Spine and Sports Therapy were excellent and friendly. My therapist, Ashley Redden, is very knowledgeable and smart and was able to stop my leg pain coming from my spine. I would recommend VCSST to anyone with pain.

    -
  • I was referred to VCSST over the summer after I went to the doctor with severe back pain. I was assigned Ashley Redden as my physical therapist. I’ve never had PT before and did not know what to expect. Ashley was thorough during the evaluation, listening and asking questions so she could find the best course of treatment. Within a week I was feeling so much better! She really knows her stuff! The office staff was also always very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I would definitely recommend VCSST and its highly qualified staff.

    -
  • Ashley was amazing! Having been an athlete herself, she knew the body AND mind of my daughter. Chantel looked forward to her visits. I highly recommend!!

    -
  • I am married with two teenagers. We have all visited the Physical Therapist, Andrew Rothschild. We had experienced pain and treatment on separate occasions with our hips, shoulders, and backs. With my daughter on a competitive dance team and my son playing travel baseball, it is crucial to have a knowledgeable, hands-on therapist, like Andrew, to go to when issues arise. On most occasions, we would skip a medical doctor’s visit and go straight to Andrew. We left each visit with at-home exercises that were easy to understand in order to help us feel better and get stronger. Thanks, Andrew!

    -
  • Andrew Mann is AWESOME! I broke my ankle and had a high ankle sprain. After the bone healed I started physical therapy with him to prevent it from happening again and get me back to running. He has a great bedside manner, was very thorough and also conservative in the number of visits. I never felt like he was trying to see me too much just to get more money. The facilities are great, beautiful view out the window while you’re doing your therapy. The staff was always very friendly. I highly recommend them to anyone!

    -
  • I had shoulder pain after a weather-related fall, but after Ashley’s thorough treatment in the clinic and doing my prescribed workouts in-home/local gym, I have experienced recovery and full range (motion). Dr. Redden, Ashley, and the physical therapy Techs teach correct form and build endurance with every session. With Ashley and the VCSST team, they made Healing a joy 💚.

    -
  • My wife had been in therapy following surgery and she quite satisfied with them.

    -
  • I worked with Dr. Jamie Koon for shoulder and neck pain. She is highly skilled, professional, and extremely personable. She did a fantastic job in educating me about my condition and explaining the way that the exercises would address it. She worked with me to develop a plan for maintaining my health when I ended therapy. I returned a second time to address rotator cuff instability. Dr. J was equally awesome in helping me to resolve that concern. Also, kudos to all of the staff at VCSST. The physical therapists support each other and their patients. They seem to really enjoy working together. Front desk staff are friendly, efficient, and professional. I highly recommend this practice to anyone needing PT services!!

    -
  • Absolutely loved Ashley Kelley (Redden). She was thorough in ways my previous PTs never were, endlessly patient, and seemed genuinely interested in making PT a thing that I didn’t dread.

    -
  • I highly recommend VCSST! My primary care doctor recommended Dr. Dominquez for my shoulder and neck pain as he had gone there himself. Dr. Dominquez is highly skilled, professional, caring and very personable. At the end of my treatment, he was great about creating a plan to stay healthy and continue to build strength at home as well as give me advice on what to do with the circuit at the gym. During my therapy he provided papers and videos demonstrating how to do stretches/strengthening at home and when he didn’t have paper or video available, he created a video on my phone walking me through how to do them. I also recommend Tegan as she helped me on my journey of healing as well. The facilities are very nice and the techs were great. The office staff was very friendly and helpful from the day I made my first appointment until the end of my treatment.

    -
  • This is a beautiful facility with top-notch therapists. Andrew Mann was the therapist whom I had the pleasure of receiving services. He was spot on with my needs and very pleasant to work with. I have been to a few PT facilities in the RVA area and this by far has been the best.

    -
  • VCSST is a great environment to be in, my experience was just like many others here. I travel frequently for work and Dr. Ashley Redden-Kelley was very accommodating to my hectic schedule. She was helpful, informative and encouraging to work with. Everyone from the doctors to the techs to the from desk staff were friendly and personable, making it an overall encouraging and motivating place to be in especially when you’re most likely not encouraged or motivated to be there due to whatever injury you suffer from. I had been dealing with constant pain for more than two years when I started back at VCSST and after a few months of going regularly, I can safely say I’m no longer in a constant state of pain and that my injury is almost completely if not completely healed. I can’t say enough good things about this office and what they did for me. I would recommend them to anyone who needs their services.

    -
  • Very caring, very dedicated to your well being.

    -
  • My wife is undergoing therapy following knee surgery and the spine center has done a wonderful job.

    -
  • I would recommend Virginia Center for Spine and Sports Therapy without hesitation for anyone seeking physical therapy assistance. The atmosphere is very professional, and the employees and owners are wonderful people. Each week was like going to visit friends while getting healed in the process. I must say I was very sad when graduation day came, I will miss everyone, but my back has never felt so good. Additionally, I have the tips I need to continue my exercises at home, so this doesn’t happen again. Thank you so much, Andrew Mann, for your dedication to getting me better!

    -
  • Very knowledgeable and caring staff. My previous experiences with PT did not include the extensive evaluation I received here. This contributed greatly to understanding my condition and how best to improve.

    -
  • I could not recommend this establishment more. I suffered a debilitating back injury and the staff went above and beyond to help treat, heal, and strengthen my body over the course of four months. The receptionists were always warm and welcoming. The PT I worked with, Andrew Mann, was not only extremely knowledgeable, but was the first and only professional (out of 5 that I had worked with at other offices) that listened to every symptom/pain/issue I was experiencing, leading to a further diagnosis. His genuine concern made this otherwise dreadful process bearable and hopeful. His plan catered specifically to my goals/lifestyle of playing a contact sport again and I cannot thank him enough for his time and energy.
